2019 RAVELLO FESTIVAL

A little something to relieve the hot summer evenings, the long-awaited Ravello Festival returns to the Amalfi Coast, famous all over the world for its natural wonders and UNESCO heritage site since 1997.

Now in its 67th edition, this year the festival offers a program of music divided into five different periods, covering several months and seasons, from spring to autumn and all within the magical and breathtaking setting of Villa Rufolo.

The event opens on June 30th with the Maestro Juraj Valčuha who will conduct the Orchestra del Teatro di San Carlo and who will pay homage, as tradition has it, to Richard Wagner, the patron saint of the Festival, together with Giuseppe Martucci, one of our country’s most distinguished musicians.

The festival’s rich calendar will run through the beginning of October and will include several music events with its numerous expressions making it the only universal form of communication. For the first time, the program, organized in collaboration with the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and institutional partner of the Ravello Foundation, will bring in a single season, the sounds of prestigious Italian orchestras.

The 67th edition of the Ravello Festival has a new look, created by Pino Grimaldi. Beginning with the “Ravello” logo and the monogrammed “R” inscribed in an infinity pictogram (taken from an ambo dating back to 1130 in the Cathedral). The full logo joins three subjects: the Foundation, the Festival and Villa Rufolo.
